Beautifully landscaped, the Glenview Park Golf Club features a choice of three bent grass tee boxes on every hole. Throughout the course, players of all skill levels find challenges in the form of tree-lined fairways, water hazards, and numerous sand traps.
Golfers who would like to improve their game can take private or semi-private lessons from head golf professional Michael Stone. They can be scheduled in 30-minute increments and are a great way to improve your swing and chipping techniques.
Pickleball is a fun racquet game that combines tennis, badminton, and ping-pong. It’s one of the fastest growing sports in the country and is played as doubles or singles. All ages can participate, and the Park District’s pickleball courts are found at Crowley and Flick parks.
Journey back in time at one of the area’s most fascinating outdoor history museums. The Grove spans 145 acres of ecologically diverse grove land and was once the home of horticulturist Dr. John Kennicott. He and his family settled here in the mid-1830s, and the property was designated a National Historic Landmark 140 years later. Visitors can learn about native plants and animals, and enjoy fun community events. They can also explore the winding trails to see how Native Americans had a positive impact on the land.
