Whether you like stouts or IPAs, some of our favorites near our Glenview, IL apartments include:

Temperance Beer Co.

At Temperance, the beer makers believe in taking risks. Both Dave and Mike are passionate about using fresh ingredients. They’re always producing something new, and their unique creations have everyone coming back for more. The taproom offers a casual space, and visitors can bring their own food. Beers include Karaoke Tears Hazy IPA, Madder Rose Tart, and Basement Party.

The brewery also offers Temperance Trikonasana yoga sessions. They’re led by Jennifer Arrington, and proceeds benefit the local charity of the month.

Empirical Brewery

The brewers at Empirical use a one-barrel pilot system. Their goal is to explore new styles and refine old ones. Head brewer, Jacob Huston, has plenty of experience, including eight years of home-brewing and attending classes at the Seibel Institute of Technology. Visitors are greeted by three friendly cats. They’re named after the Ghostbusters and were adopted from a humane society. There’s a beer for every palate, and choices Lumen, Symbiotic, and Cold Fusion.

Short Fuse Brewing

Named the “Best New Brewer in Illinois” in 2018, Short Fuse uses classic brewing styles mixed with a creative flair. This method results in a taste that’s crisp, bold, and original. The brewery features 30 barrels, and tours are available by appointment. The 7,500-square-foot taproom is one of the largest in Chicagoland. It features a full-service kitchen and at least 14 beers on tap. The beer changes bi-weekly and choices may include Belgian Bomb, For Goodness Shakes, and El Suave.
